I have been a huge fan of statues since I was a little kid. They have always intrigued me, and I always had the urge to replicate a statue in my own home. This one was one of my favorite pieces to build. The way the blocks meet creates a beautiful symmetrical design and that’s the point I wanted to focus on.
I had a custom piece that was a lot smaller than this, and I’m glad I stuck to it. The blocks were definitely too small for me to build this one myself, but I really liked the way it turned out.
The last thing I wanted to spend my valuable time doing was creating a beautiful statue, but I did this anyway. The hardest part about this project was choosing a stone for the base. I went with a stone that was very light in color to match the color of my walls, but one that was darker enough to stand out. I thought I’d try to match the color of the block to the color of my walls, but it was much too dark to do that.
This was an easy one to do. There are lots of beautiful stone blocks available. I bought mine on eBay from a guy named Mike Davis. He was an amazingly talented and kind seller. I highly recommend checking them out.
Yeah, buying stones from a guy like Mike is an easy win. There are so many wonderful stone blocks out there, and you can even ask him about which blocks are available. I think his blocks are all unique.
This was a difficult one to do. I wanted a stone block that was not as bright as the main block, but I also wanted a stone block with the same color as the main block. I wanted it to be very hard and sharp. I ended up just buying the stone block that was half the size of the main block, and using it for a few months. Then I finally had the time and space to finish it.
With all the blocks that went into this statue, it was impossible to keep track of which blocks were available. But I did find a couple of blocks that were not as bright or sharp as the main block, so I used that to make the top and bottom of the statue. I then decided to make it seem as if the main block was being damaged. I gave the statue a rough hewn look, and also added a large bump on the top.
I have a lot of thoughts on the final look of the statue, but I think I can just say that the main block is beautiful, and the top and bottom are stunning. I also want to note that I used the same process to make the top and bottom of the statue for the next statue. The main block is also really cool. It looks like you can really enjoy the beauty and the texture of the block, but you can also just lean and walk on the block.
The statue is a custom-made piece, and the process is a bit more involved than in the previous statue. The first step is to build the sculpture. The sculptor has to cut a piece of wood which is then glued to a metal template—basically a mold that can be cut with a carpenter’s square. The next step is to get the wood shaped to the template.
Building a custom-made statue, particularly one that you can enjoy in a variety of ways, can be a frustrating and time-consuming job. It’s a labor of love, and it’s one that you want to put your full effort into. The process can be time consuming, and you can get in too much of a rush.
